Description

Wow.
:iconthecosmicbeholder: made me a wonderful fanart of the Order Patrol,
( fav.me/dbnuwdo )
which reminded me that I hadn't transferred the pic from my other DA space to this the superhero repository, yet!
The Order Patrol are the premiere superheroes of my more comedic superhero project universe, The TrollMoon Universe, and can be found in my comics; SCARRed For Life and Sick of Superheroes.

So, here they are!
Comedy expies of The Justice League, and a certain Marvel cash cow thrown in for good measure.

From left to right:
Bluestreak: The young speedster is a bipolar and somewhat emotionally damaged young hero. One moment, he's an overly polite, 'aw shucks', butt-kisser kinda guy, the next, he's a grouchy, violent jerk. Sometimes he can be despondent to the point of immobility. Not the type of person you'd want on your side in the middle of a super-battle. Some think it may be simply a side effect of his powers, but, it goes even deeper than that. Walter Simpson, Bluestreak's alter ego, suffers from a rather serious disassociative disorder, which was exascerbated by the mystical lightning that gave him his superpowers. Unbeknownst to him, his own archenemy and evil twin, "Yellowstreak" is actually just Walter himself. His own self loathing having manifested into an alternate personality, Solomon Winters, who, when he "awakes" always looks for Bluestreak in order to kill him, is unable to find him (as they are the same person). Winters uses his powers to travel back in time to the last reported sighting of Bluestreak and attack. Neither consciously knows that their battles are essentially one man trying to kill himself. But, hey... when he's "up", he's really "up", and to his rather self-absorbed teammates, that's what really matters. As long as he takes his meds, he's fine. Orgasms help, too, but no one really wants to bring that up.

Knight Raptor: The dark vigilante who's good at everything as a hero, but sucks at "real life". His alter-ego, Bryce White, is a billionaire tech mogul, but an arrogant, self-centered jerk... but then, so is Knight Raptor, but, for some reason, (almost) everyone reveres him, anyway. Bryce White seems incapable of maintaining a personal relationship. He either seems to gravitate to the most toxic of relationships with the most toxic of women, often trying and failing to "fix" them in the short time he is willing/able to devote to them when not being Knight Raptor, or, he manages to find a decent and intelligent woman, only to treat her as nothing but a 'cover story' for Bryce White's need to seem like a "normal person", to cover his activities as Knight Raptor. He has adopted many foster children in foreign countries that he has promptly forgotten about. His one personal relationship that is even HALFWAY functional is with that of his illegitimate younger half-brother, John Kang-Sun Wang White, whom he has officially adopted and taken under his wing as his sidekick, The Swan. Even that connection is strained, since Johnny White grew up, moved out of the White Mansion, and established The Swan as his own hero and more than just Knight Raptor's sidekick. In the public's internet-fuelled opinion, KR is the second most popular hero on the team. His favorite pastime is butting heads with the team's chairman, Commander Valor.

HardLight: The cosmically powered space marine and erudite intellectual. HardLight has the misfortune of being the "Black Hero" amongst the team, much to his chagrin. He bristles at the stereotypes that the media is more than happy to heap upon him. An English professor in his alter-ego of Cole Stephens, (the maternal uncle of the young speedster, "Socks" Walker, of the 'Sick of Superheroes' comic) he feels that, as a member of the Order Patrol, as powerful as they are, he is an intellectual among idiots. Knight Raptor and Commander Valor's constant childish bickering, Valor Girl's need to act out for attention, and TidePool's very existence bother him to no end. The only members of his own team that he actually likes are Mister Mars, for seemingly having NO outward neuroses, and Wonder Warrior, though, he often chides himself for being "that guy", as his amiability toward her is, if he's honest with himself, purely physical... which makes him feel like the very type of Neanderthal he despises, and, thus, a huge hypocrite.

Commander Valor, considered to be the most famous superhero in the world, is the chairman of the Order Patrol. Though he tells everyone that he is some sort of godlike genius super-man from a distant, dead planet, he is actually just a former teenage farmhand from Missouri who, along with his twin sister, were the product of voluntary genetic manipulation on their pregnant teenaged mother by a rogue think-tank for rather hefty monetary compensation, so her children wouldn't have to spend their lives as Missouri farmhands. (Ironically the think-tank was secretly run by godlike genius super-men from a distant, dead planet, looking to carry on their race via genesplicing their DNA into humans!) In truth, The Commander is just as human as the next guy - particularly when it comes to his large ego, (Even in this picture, he's floating a bit so that he seems taller than Wonder Warrior.), his shame concerning his mistakes in life (Like having a one-night-stand with one of the scientists who made him, resulting in an illegitimate child, and plunging into the superhero game for the fame and fortune of it, only to find out that "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility... and Responsibility is a Drain on Free Time and Absolutely No Fun"). He has a major rivalry with the Vice Chairman of he Order Patrol, Knight Raptor. KR is always trying to take him down a peg to prove that he is nothing but an overpowered simpleton, while CV is always trying to point out that KR is just a normal man who isn't special without his myriad toys and money.

Mister Mars: Supposedly the last survivor of Mars. Having put himself in stasis hundreds of years ago, when his planet was going downhill, Overrun with know-it-alls, thought police and social justice fascists, B'aubb Zmiff awoke to find the planet completely dead. The Martian race had 'corrected' itself right out of existence. it took time, but B'aubb was able to glean enough leftover science and technology to get a spaceship working. So, he travelled to the nearest planet with life - he came to Earth. Oddly, the various pollutions, carcinogens and preservatives of the planet mutated him, giving him superpowers. He considers this the best thing to have happened to him. Seeing Earth and its many wonders as a paradise, he has vowed to use his newfound powers of flight, shapeshifting, density manipulation and low-level telepathy and telekinesis for the loftiest of goals- his own pleasure. A dyed-in-the-wool hedonist, B'aubb samples every delight the third planet has to offer, under cover of his Earth identity, "Bob Smith". Unfortunately, he sees this world as going down the same path as his old world, and joined the Order Patrol in order to save Earth from itself. It'll take time to turn the tide against killjoys, teetotalers, prudes and oppressors, but, Martians have long lifespans - his is possibly even longer due to his mutation - He has time... and, ooh! There's ice cream!!

Wonder Warrior: Dana Duke was raised by a cult on a small, private Key off of south Florida. Her order, called the Paradoms, are dedicated to "saving the world" through bondage, discipline, domination and brute force. She is a powerful fighter, who specializes in blind combat and the utilization of a bullwhip. She is a match for Commander Valor in strength and power, but, prefers to let him barrel ahead in all matters of combat in order to gauge the enemy's power levels. She is, arguably, the most powerful and capable member of the team, which, ultimately puts a great deal of stress on her. She was sent as an 'ambassador' of her people to secretly take the measure of the outside world and report back to the Paradoms the many weaknesses of the world in preparation for eventual conquest and conversion, once her 'religion' becomes widespread enough. However her time spent in America as part of the superteam has actually garnered her friendship, philosophical ideas, decadent foods, ardent followers and experiences that she was not able to partake in during her life with the Paradom cult. She has decided to be a true hero in order to keep this new life. This may come back to bite her in her prodigious posterior someday.

Valor Girl: Commander Valor's niece. She has all the same powers and abilities as he has, yet, feels that she is somehow considered a lesser hero and person because she is younger and shorter than he is, not to mention female. She never really wanted to be a superhero. She was press-ganged into it by her Uncle Chuck, at the behest of his publicist.
Bernard Dawkins, said publicist, thought that it would do wonders for Commander Valor's image to have a teenage sidekick. Chuck disagreed strongly, at first, but agreed when it was pointed out that Knight Raptor had not one, but TWO sidekicks, The Swan and Thunderbird, and Valor would take any opportunity to show up his rival teammate. Valor Girl, aka "Charlotte Trent" had spent her formative years abroad, in boarding schools, paid for by a stipend left to her by her now-deceased mother, Charlene, and only sporadically had any encounters with her Uncle Chuck, until he had her shipped off to America to join him...
Then, once established as Valor Girl, Chuck Trent quickly began to alternate between being dismissive of her and being very overprotective... possibly more than a distant uncle should be. Charlotte, smarter than she is given credit for, had initially and erroneously surmised that Chuck Trent, given his treatment of her, is most likely her biological father, which makes her adamant to the point of obsessive about gaining his attention and respect. Unfortunately, she goes about doing this by being somewhat bratty and inappropriate. She wears skimpy costumes. She has gotten drunk and posted lewd photos of herself on the internet behind his back. She has a serious inferiority complex regarding Wonder Warrior, whom she sees as not only a better heroine than she, but is intimidating due to her Amazonian stature and overwhelmingly voluptuous pulchritude. She has dated a fair few toxic bad boys, both as Charlotte Trent and Valor Girl, during her teen years and it has gotten worse since she turned 18. All this juxtaposed against her Uncle's strict instructions to present herself as the perfect Girl Scout superheroine at all times! Not to mention her cultivated secret desire to ACTUALLY BE a good and effective superheroine, if only to totally show up her oppressive uncle. Being pulled in these different emotional directions is secretly beginning to take their toll on her emotional well-being, making her resent her uncle and, secretly, herself. This is all exascerbated by her thoughts that she may be the child of siblings. The truth is much worse: She is actually the illegitimate daughter of her deceased mom, Captain Valor's, loving relationship with intergalactic bounty hunter, Jackal Nisob, who was once, before turning over a new leaf, one of Commander Valor's deadliest enemies due to The Commander's somewhat xenophobic tendencies! As of now, at age 21, she has found out her true heritage and is currently on a pilgrimage to find out the entire story behind her origins with her Uncle Chuck's blessing, now that they have finally had a few long, deep heart-to-heart talks.

TidePool: The final member of the Order Patrol- Ladies and gentlemen, I give you: The Marine Man with the Mouth and the Missing Marbles - TIDEPOOL! Self-proclaimed "King of Water". (That's right. Half Aquaman, half Deadpool. I'm a monster. I know.) Tidepool can breathe water. That's it. For some reason, he got it into his head that that particular skill makes him a 'superhero'. He claims to be the Lord of Atlantis, but, Atlantis is just a myth that doesn't really exist in the TrollMoon Universe... or IS it?!
(The one in the Xailenrath Prime Universe ain't filled with fish people, either!)
Thus, the Order Patrol thinks that TidePool is crazy, and only keeps him around to keep him from hurting himself and others. Mind you, despite his penchant for charging head-long into life-threatening danger without a regeneration factor, or immunity to pain, he actually seems to be a pretty good hand-to-hand fighter, and uses his rather large trident (which says "overcompensation"), and the occasional harpoon gun pretty effectively. If anything, he is more formidable OUT of the water than he is IN it, considering that he can only swim as fast and far as a normal man, is NOT superstrong, and cannot withstand the pressures or low temperatures of the deep, nor see in it's inky blackness - he's just some guy who can't drown. That also means that his brain cannot go for too long without oxygen, even if his body can - which may explain his insanity. Brain damage and/or hypothermia. Still, he follows the Order Patrol around, and seems to pop up out of nowhere rather frequently. Thus, they inducted him into their ranks. He is a loud, crass, lecherous, drunken annoying creep in desperate need of a shower and possibly electro-shock therapy who thinks he's the 'gangsta' royalty of a kingdom that doesn't exist. And those are his GOOD points!
