In the Post Universal Destruction (2) storyline, Brenda Benson now resides in the 'Pisces Universe', which seems to be a bit more on the comedic side.
Originally, The Waxwork of Universe #98073-J, aka "The Raptureverse",
(The same universe that Lady Atlas is from)
gained her powers when the mysterious multicolored lights from the sky rained down and gave 10,000 people on an otherwise unremarkable Earth superpowers.
This same event has now taken place on The PISCES Earth. However, instead of 10,000, the "Rapture" event has only affected 777 people. Brenda Benson was one of them.
There's not much super-crime in St. Louis, Missouri of this particular reconstituted reality, but Waxwork helps out where she can. In the 2 years since the Rapture event happened, Waxwork, as she named herself, has been a stellar superheroine and reluctant celebrity. (Age of the Internet, folks!)
She has an ever-growing fan base, though, and many admirers... though one ponders whether or not she is admired for her crime fighting skills, so much as her flexibility and rather suggestive wardrobe. (Again - Age of the Internet.)
Waxwork takes it all in stride, though, as she is somewhat of a free spirited tease who has always somewhat yearned to be a model or actress, but she makes a conscious effort to not let all the attention go to her head, and focus on what's important.
As it stands, for now, at least, she has to be content with spending her days as the busy personal assistant to capricious self-made billionaire electronics magnate, Will Kincaid, who, himself, secretly has aspirations of being a supervillain... but that's a tale for another time.

Waxwork (Brenda) learned about him during the Universal Destruction event and that information manifested in her psyche as a false memory when her existence was reconstituted from the TrollMoon reality.

Since the restructuring of the timeline, and with the help of neighboring superheroine, Lady Atlas, Brenda Benson has since defeated her former employer, Will Kincaid, who attempted to use a stolen sample of Waxwork's own DNA to transform a significant portion of the populations of the USA and Canada into slowly melting human blobs.
Having thwarted Kincaid, Brenda moved away from her St. Louis home, and relocated to Kansas City, Missouri to start anew, working closer than ever with her new friend, Lady Atlas.
Intending to retire from her superhero persona, Brenda took a job as the personal assistant to the CEO of TerraDax, a local tech firm that boasted it's green agenda. The CEO, Margo Sullivan, appeared to be a much better boss and human being than Brenda's former employer, but, she, too seemed to be keeping secrets.
It was found later that she was a former superheroine, called the White Fox. Though retired, Margo is still the driving force behind a secret group of powered vigilantes patrolling Kansas City called "The Hex". Though do-gooders, they are wanted for 'obstructing justice' and meddling in police affairs. Their hearts are in the right place, but, sometimes, their methods go too far.
Brenda now has a choice - come out of retirement as Waxwork, if only to keep The Hex from either going too far, or being taken down by the possibly corrupt police force, or, keep her alternate identity in mothballs, but secretly keep tabs on her new boss and her dealings from the inside, and help keep her on the straight and narrow, hoping that she doesn't lose her job (filled with much-needed benefits and good pay), or get caught up in something that may get her sent to prison.
